Audi’s Small Car for India – A1

audi_a1_05Until some recent time back, there was not a single example in its line-up belonging to the burgeoning SUV segment. But German auto firm Audi realized the potential and launched the, now much famous and celebrated, Q7. Ever since then this fat, bulbous, heavy-at-the-arse SUV has been the vanguard of segment sales. Other SUVs in the offing are Q5 and ‘under-development’ Q3. And now, the four-ringed firm has become conscious about its presence in yet another lucrative sector – that being the small-car segment. BMW Studio in New Delhi

BMW India today announced the opening of the BMW Studio in New Delhi. Designed as a unique multi-dimensional space, the BMW Studio will offer an overall, all-round experience of the BMW.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Peter Kronschnabl, President BMW India said, “The BMW Studio is conceptualised to offer an experience that fully meets our customers’ requirements and make best use of the brand’s strength. We are confident that the BMW Studio will provide an exclusive BMW experience coupled with excellent service and the perfect ambience. BMW’s Superbike project on track

It was close to about eight months ago that BMW declared their intention of participating in the Superbike World Championship from next year onwards. Hence, BMW is working overtime in order to get the bikes race-track ready in order to lay rubber during the first race of WSBK 2009. The eagerly awaited superbike clocked some miles at the Eurospeedway Lausitzring recently. The German circuit featured on WSBK calendar till last year and this gave BMW a good comparison measure of lap times vis-à-vis lap times of previous year’s race weekend.
